Hi Lara! Thank you for a wonderful tutorial! I'm almost done with the first part, but I've really been wondering how to know if the size I chose is going to fit me. Do you have by any chance an assumption to what size of calf circumference each of the sizes you wrote can fit?
Hi, thanks for watching! The best way is measuring the circumference of your calf. Then, measure how many stitches go into let's say, an inch. It will depend on the yarn and needles you're using. It's always good to knit a square of eg 3 inches times 3 inches or what's size works for you. Then count the stitches. Now if you would have, let's say, 30 stitches in 3 inches, and the circumference of the calf would be 15 inches, it'd be 15/3=5. That is 5 times the square. So 30 stitches times 5 would give you 15. That's of course just a made up size now but the math should help.
This video is brilliant and has some great tips!
Thank you so much!
This is so helpful, thanks !
Thank you!
I used to suffer from shyness. I would get very embarrassed about buying underpants, I would wait till the shop was empty and people were not walking outside. It would feel to me as if the sales person could see me wearing them. If I had known how to make my own underpants I would not have needed to have these embarrassing experiences. Most people would call ladies undergarments knickers or panties, you describe them as underpants a few times in this video.
The white lace with the gothic style design was an interesting combination. Somehow, most of us might not at first expect goth girls to have lace on their panties.

I wanna watch but I just cannot stand thos music.... 😅
How many times i said i have no words? Every minute of this video?😂 propably… Ok but i truly have no words🥰 Such an amazing art work. You can tell if somebody does things with love and you do. Thank you for giving us a closer look 🙏🏻
Awww, Thanks! I do love creating . Plus, It is my shnoopy-poo, that was so special anyway.
They look cool! Id like to make something “footwear” with denim. Any free patterns out there for madonna booties?😂
Thanks, love! I thought about using denim in some way, too. It's also great to use up some old jeans. Haha, Madonna booties would be fun!
@@SewingLarathose low slouchy booties from the 80’s. you can do the sole with that goo. Im not getting notifications of replies, had to come see. :(
OH yeah, they were amazing. I have to see if I can get the pattern or and idea how to make the pattern somwhere.

Thanks for watching!
Thank you.
Wonderfoul
Thank you 😊
Which pattern was it that you modified, please?
Hi, it has been a pattern form a magazine, but I haven't found it in their online collection. It's been quite old magazine.
Thank you Lara, I have made up my bag and I'm really pleased with it😀
Oh that's wonderful! I am so happy about that. Thank you for letting me know.
I have just bought the pattern but I can't find how to get it
Hi, did you buy it over Etsy or my homepage? You should get a link in any case. Can you see if you got links to download? If not, let me know, I'll help
And thank you 🙏 I just have seen your purchase, I re-sent the download link. Please let me know if you got it. When you print the pattern, I recommend using "actual size" in printer settings.
@@SewingLara Thank you very much I've received it
@JoannaBlackmore-Wells I'm glad you did. You can always reach out if you have any questions. Thank you and have fun with your sewing project 😊
If I wanted to add a zipper could you explain what I would do? New at this
I plan on making a zipper pillow case soon, I'll show it then. I have a hand sewing project that should be also helpful, though. I'll look for the video and post a link here as a reply

How do you wash this with the base and suction cups?
Delicate program, works fine. The base is sturdy enough. It just takes time to dry a bit, because of the knots.
Do you have to use ɓees wax with the rough edges?
No, I didn't use anything for that version.
Exactly what i needed!! Thank you🧡
Aw, that is so wonderful 💖 thank you!
Fabulous when you want to avoid all the pressing thank you!
I try to avoid pressing a lot, but I should do it in some cases more often 😅 thanks for watching!
It's a western chyutikaran (fuxxed up diversion) of yoga costume.. Yoga costume has to loose cotton... with a Langot as underwear..
thank you so much for the nice review!! very helpful 😊
Thank you, dear!
Thanks for wishing your viewers a happy 🎅 Christmas, it is 🐣 Easter now, so I wish you a happy Easter.
It is great how fancy 🩲 underwear can create a feeling of happiness.😊
If these type of panties are popular in 🇧🇷 Brazil, good on the Brazilians!😊
I love colourful patterned underwear, it puts some magic into my life. We all need some magic in these 😟 troubled times.
Used to make these with my mom.
Cool!
How much fabric would you approx. need for one tank top?? :)
I usually use about 0.5 meters and end up with some leftovers. The exact amount for each size can vary, but that is then listed in the sewing pattern overview. I wear usually size M, and when the jersey is 1.5 m wide, 0.5-0.6 m is more than enough for this project. I hope this helps!
@@SewingLara ah thank you so much! 🙏 I’ll definitely begin sewing one then :)
That is so cool!❤
Aw, thanks! You made my day 🙏
What's the difference with coverlock and overlock?
Hi, thanks for watching. Overlock is more for sewing parts together. There's a possibility to do flatlock stitch, that is for edging. Coverlock is more for edging. The coverstitch is what you see on shirts, usually twi rows of straight stitch on the right side, a kinda overlock-like stitch on the inside. It's very general the way I describe it but that is basically it.
I've been looking for tutorials for my size for ages. Thank you so much!!!!
I'm glad my tutorial helps! Thank you for watching 🤗
EN,ESPAÑOL
This was so well detailed! It’s so helpful to hear your thought process as you plan out the project. Thank you so much!
Thank you so much for such a positive feedback, I appreciate it.
Cute! I had a brown husky a long time ago. I miss her…..
Thanks! Oh I bet you do, they stay forever in our hearts 💕
@@SewingLara❤, they do
Great video, but it is never good to sew over pins.
You are right, better to be careful. And thank you 🙏
Wonderful, I have been pulling too tight when I make a slot in the back!
Looks great and doogg is so adorable
Thank you!
Great video and I'm amazed at your ability to freehand those vines at the top. Looks very nice. If you don't mind me sharing something I found probably in a tutorial video, for me cutting corners on thicker leather, like you use, is easier with the japanese style skiving knife you have. Just hold it vertically and anchor one side of it on the cutting surface (flat side facing the leather), then just make thin triangular cuts following the curve by pushing down the knife on the leather as you move your leather piece bit by bit after each cut. Then just finished it up with a sandpaper like you did and you get near perfect curved outside corners. It works better for me on tight curves where using a scalpel is tricky. The balm for the chisel is a good idea, I'll try it out, it should help with the chisel getting stuck sometimes. Keep up the good work and I'm looking forward to the next video!
Tha k you so much. I truly appreciate the tip, I have to do that next time. Cutting the corners will be for sure way, way easier. I am always happy to learn. Thanks!
I have relatively new overlock Singer serger but recently got older Singer 14U35 model. This machine is quite old and has limited features but works so nice and quiet that I like it so much. What happened with new Singer sergers that are so noisy?
Honestly I find that many older models were better and worked better, too. So I can totally understand you. Ii have no idea what they are doing, but Ihave a feeling that many products are losing their quality
It's great that you showed all the prototypes at the end and shared what you did and didn't like about them. I think it gives a deeper understanding of the amount of work that goes into these kinds of projects. Keep up the good work! Best wishes
Thank you! And it definitely shows better the process. I had another idea again how to make it "better" so there'll be definitely a second tutorial later this year 🙈
@SewingLara that's great! I'm looking forward to it!
Very nice❤
Thank you 🙏
